I was reading through, you can not call Alexander the Great Greek as historians still argue about wether Macedonian was a full Greek nation, or wether it was more "barbaric" in their standards. The Greeks in reality hated the Macedonians at the time.

The Makedonians were Greek speaking, had Greek Culture and Greeks do consider Makedonia Greek because it was. I don't give a sh*t about "Historians".

U MUST KNOW THAT AT THAT TIME THE MACEDONIANS PARTICIPATE AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES WHICH WAS A PRIVILEGE ONLY FOR GREEKS AT ANCIENT TIMES AND AN OTHER FACT THAT SHOW AS THAT MACEDONIANS WAS A GREEK TRIBE AS WELL SPARTANS=(DORIAN)ATHENIAN=(IONIAN) IS THAT IN THE BATTLE OF PLATEEA ALEXANDER THE 1ST ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ 'Α GAVE HELP TO THE GREEKS THE NIGHT BEFORE THE BATTLE. Alexanders father was a Macedonian and his mother was from Epirus so hes not a greek. Although after he and his father Phillip II conqured greece a large part of his infantry was greek but his cav remained mostly macedonian. The companion cav on RTW were his elite cavalry and were his fathers before that.

Im talking about ancient Macedonia, not the Republic that formed in 1991. Wink

ABOUT EPIRUS Epirus (Greek: Ἤπειρος Epeiros, Northwestern Greek: Ἄπειρος Apeiros) was an ancient Greek state, located in the geographical region of Epirus, in the western Balkans. The homeland of the ancient Epirotes was bordered by the Aetolian League to the south, Thessalia and Macedonia to the east and Illyrian tribes to the north. ALSO It seems that the first Macedonian state emerged in the 8th or early 7th century BC under the Argead Dynasty, who, according to legend, migrated to the region from the Greek city of Argos in Peloponnesus (thus the name Argead).[7] It should be mentioned that the Macedonian tribe ruled by the Argeads, was itself called Argead (which translates as "descended from Argos").WHEN HISTORIANS REFER TO THAT PERIOD OF TIME THEY CALL IT Hellenistic period of history.WHICH HELLENISTIC IT COMES FROM HELLAS.ACTUALY THE NAME OF PHILIP IS GREEK (Greek: Φίλιππος Β' ο Μακεδών — φίλος = friend + ίππος = horse IT MEANS FRIEND OF THE HORSE
