The wrath of Josephus

I like Rome for 2 reasons. First, I am a Roman history freak. Second, Rome is so versatile that it can beat any faction if the build is correct. I am thinking about branching out into Macedonia or Sels. That is one of the things about MTW2 I like better than Rome, each faction in MTW2 has more weaknesses so playing just one don't work as well.

Indeed Jose, if you want a good Macedonia army, I got one for you. It has yet to be defeated, and in the hands of a pro like you, it could be unstoppable.

The only way a macedonian army can be defeated is either a very good roman player or possibly an archer based army. On a side note, if we get the TWL ladders ruuning, you may get to see how Railen handles a macedonian army.

What is the usual amount of denarii you use in MP battles Jose? Before I had to pack up my pc for the move, I was testing armies with 20k. So far, I have a pretty good Seleucid army that can be Roman Cohorts and their cavalry quite well *against average players*. However, after not playing Rome for over a year and a half, I am quite rusty. When I set my pc up again, I'm going to need some training. Alex told me you almost unstoppable, Jose. *pleads for help*

Hi Ranger,

I play 15K because I think that is just enough to buy a relatively large army (numbers) or opt for a smaller but better equipped and/or trained army. 18k is about the limit that I play now, although 20k is playable. I won't consider playing anything over 25K.
I don't mind training people. Its always fun. Just as long as you follow the diet and exercise program I put you on... j/k. Seriously, training people is fun and not a problem.

Jose, if I may make a suggestion on the Macedonian army, try 5 Companion Cavalry with 3 shield and 3 sword upgraded, 1 Greek Cavalry (maybe light Lancers), 6 Royal Pikemen with 3 shield and 3 sword, and 6 Archers (1 unit with 1 sword upgrade)

Ok, I can try it. I am using railen's army right now. I have seen him crush many a roman army with it... including mine... hehe

Really? thats wierd, my Phalanx is stronger than his are, and my Cavalry would be stronger, all he has would be the range, perhaps my army could beat his once I get really good with it.

Are wins against Sith ok? How about CoS, Marines, and Destroyers?
