It appears that we are all a little "rusty" with RTW as of now, which isn't a big deal. A slight increase in consistent playtime and more practice should alleviate this problem.

Obviously, we cannot all be on as much as we would like, becuase they are other games (not all of us can effectively play them) to enjoy, and we also have normal lives to live, no? Luckily, we (as a whole) are mostly laidback - which is fine, as long as we can preform well when need be.

Besides, we're all pros anyways Cool

right you are Mace. I am currently in a RTW (BI) tourny, made it to round 3, If I win the next one I go to the semi finals. Ive been getting my BI practice in but wouldnt mind getting some team battles in RTW or MTW. I love the game's and alway's will king

: Not sure if many of you follow but total war can be very seasonal, lots of hours are played in the rainy cold seasons.

Yeah I felt pretty bad not being able to win a game last night. Sad My timing was way off....

Yeah, that 3v3 was partly my fault, thinking my cavalry could have done more than it was actually capable of, but none the less. Timing was also an issue.

I am looking forward to this winter, where I'm sure that most of us will be inside more often.

Barbarian Invasion?... I have played it but not extensively, maybe I should play it more?

What seems to be a huge trend (from my perspective) is that many non-clan, medium time, new(ish) players - which seems to be a majority of the online population in most cases - have a very similar setup. Almost always Romans, with maximum archers and cav, with a few urbans to spare. This setup is a pain, espically when you can't always predict the opponents' army. We MUST switch up our tactics scratch .

Thats typically the same setup you'll see by a large majority of the more experience players when playing as the Romans. A g/g Urban is one of the best offensive units in the game, I believe in testing it was found that 2 g/g Urbans could stand up against 4 g/g Silver Legion Cohorts handily with some spare change. You don't need a lot of them. That leaves a lot of money left over for the Cavalry and Archers which if upgraded and handled properly can inflict more damage than infantry can. The best offense against a Roman Army is a lot of super Cavalry, Urban Cohorts cant stand up to it, and make sure they are in Wedge formation and that you use alt attack.

True, the infantry of the "barbarian" factions who wield axes will massacre Urban Cohorts.
