custom maps question

...my buddy Octavian from ImperialMalice clan was pretty impressed with the map pack. hes havin trouble getting his to work. can any body explain to me (totally comp illiterate) an easy way to help him out? i think he has the basics figured but, his games dont show up when he tries to use one.

Romulus was the mastermind behind the Imperator map pack, he will be the goto man.

Ive only heard of hosted games not showing up if the games not patched, so I'm not sure what thats about...
