| Hey guys. Anyone interested in some WWII action? I saw this game in walmart and it looked interesting. I checked out the website and downloaded the demo. Its kind of a WWII total war from what I can tell. no base building (I love that feature). No resource gathering (love that almost as much). There are some upgrades purchased before the demo senario loads. The visuals are great. I also checked some of the reviews which were all good. It was apparently a best of nominee at E3, for whatever that is worth. | |

| Here's a link to the demo that worked better for me. I tried the download from the Order of War site and had trouble. FilePlanet worked better for me.

| no, i have company of heroes and its not that similar. No base building and no micro managing units. Unlike company of heroes, you order platoons of tanks and infantry to manuver. throwing hand grenades and loading AP ammo is handled by the unit. I think mp in Order of War would more realistic for these reasons. That makes it more fun for me... I HATE base building, ordering the manufacturing of units, and gathering resources, in a game. I just want to use an army to defeat my opponent. | |

| No. Unfortunately it doesn't. I hope to be able to buy the game soon. manuvering the units is just like total war. i am becoming impressed enough to buy it. | |

| I agree with rom, rts base building stinks. It takes away from pure military strategy and causes you to focus on clicking buildings to get units. Thats not something Caesar or Patton had to do... This game's single player mode seems to be on, based on the demo, a regimental or division level. It seems to be well scripted. The demo has you in command of battalions of one of Patton's divisions as the 3rd Army is pushing toward Paris in 1944. From what I have read about MP, its quite different. | |

| Hate to zombie a dead thread but.....
I was thinking of getting it, i thought there could be some EPIC mods for it, but after looking it through 4 years after its release and there are STILL no mod tools and no mod support whatsoever.
So basically, its a piece of shit, don't buy it. | |
