| i have it, have the special forces empire. after building myself up into a frenzy about the potential of this game (this is not normal for me, i am not a gamer, therefore the anticiation for a computer game is new to me), i must say it's poor.
firstly, the control panel during battles is badly designed. in med war II, the control panel (perhaps the real nuts and bolts of the game) does not allow one to really identify groups that you have formed. for example, when you say group, riflemen with infantry, and then group some cavalry, they are very subtle shades of the same colour, therefore in the midst of battle, when you quickly need to know the location of these groups, this can be confusing. this feeling is added by the the fact that if you click on each individual unit, and want to know which group they pertain to, this can be almost impossible as they are very badly highlighted.
ive been playing it for a few hours now, the game is great, but the control panel is ruining it for me. i knew there would be laods of gun powder, i can live with that, but it seems a mess to me.
i'll keep perserving with it, perhaps i'll grow to like it.

| Yeah no "lobby now" , you have to get on vent/xfire or send a friend a join game request via steam. I dont suggest using xfire to communicate untill they add empires to their supported games. | |

| form what i see, steam has a voice interface built in ? you serious about steam not having a lobby ???
so how do you make friends if you can't type stuff in a lobby? steam an epire leave alot to be desired, gettin used to empire, but they should of taken the best points of med war II online, such as being able to type in the lobby,

| It does have a search box in the lobby so you can find someone. Its pretty easy to find and Imperaor if hes on. I played four land battles and two naval battles with Imps. 6-0 heehee Oh and it seems that the lobbies are region locked, so North America cant play with Europe. What the hell? Other than that it seems to run smooth, though the load times still suck. | |
