Bring back the strangle hold:

Guys I wanted get this thread back into rotation. I think it would be fun to practice this and even build some more solid tactics.

I was actually looking around for that earlier and never found it. This is in fact a great Tactic that crushed opponents with ease. We definitely bring this back and revise it with the current change in tactics.

if high era scotland or france are the pike factions of choice. France would be the better choice for me with flemish pikes and the heavier cavs. All era many good factions for stranglehold.

High era strangle hold I think france and poland would be my 1st choice.

that is wat the peasants are for. to take in that cav chrge. to slow them down. Then you can send ur cav to support it. Cuz the peaasants are the ones in front not ur important inf

Sparta is right, if they charge they lose there charge bonus on peasents and they will have a swarm of cavs chargeing into them as they get tangled in the mess. Im sure we can find things that could go wrong and counters to boot... but all in all it is an effective strat that has been tested on good players and it worked. The only effective counter would be a great double rush by the opponets or turtle tactics 101 (box/dbl spearwalls/back deployment with ha)

Later we can do some clan practice with 2 guys strangle and 2 guys counter. It should be easy to counter if you know its coming
