Update for the M2TW Tournament.


Note: The following rules are for GROUP MATCHES and NOT for final matches. Final match rules will be posted when group winners are announced.

No Artillery, omitting Caraccio and Holy Cross Standards "- meaning these are allowed..."
No Elephants
Maximum 7 Cavalry - 2 Horse Archer Maximum
Maximum 4 Unit Type

Pay close attention as to the order at which the games are played by Era. And don't get too comfortable with the rules, as they will change slightly for the final matches.

Each group will play internal games; which will be assigned times by GM's. Therefore, this will result in a single group winner for each group that moves onto the finals. (16 teams down to 4 teams). Each team will have a series of matches with each other team, with games varying between 1v1's and 2v2's. A total of 3 1v1's, and a total of 3 2v2's. 1v1's are worth one (1) point; 2v2's are worth two (2) points. The team with the most points at the end of the matches wins for that group. In the result of a tie, the tied teams will face-off with each team choosing a single member that will play a best 2 out of 3 games with the opposing team; Winner takes group prize for their team.

Each Game MUST be played within the time period chosen by game moderators. You will be reminded of game start 1 week prior so that the teams may choose a day/time for their matches. Game times may span over a one week period.
For example:
You are notified by the "GM-Cold_Killer-" that your match may start on Friday, the 8th of August. You have between the 8th of August and the 14th of August to play your match. He will notify you of this match time, on the 1st of August to give a one week period to set match times.

If a team (or both teams) fails to strive to get a match played, they will receive 0 points and the other team will receive 1 point, regardless of 1v1 or 2v2.

Game Replays must be saved and sent to a game moderator for review. Game screen shot results are encouraged to be posted by both teams in their group thread.

Man I would love to join these tournaments but I can not get into Medieval II Total War online at all...

I used to have trouble logging in too, but have recently discovered a trick. It doesn't work all the time, but has worked several times that I have used it.

What I do is I log into Vanilla and attempt to get on MP. I wait for it to Time Out and I get the "Connection Lost". I exit Vanilla and join Kingdoms. I log into MP, do my normal entrance greeting to the lobby, and then save my #pid and #fullid then I leave the lobby and go into Vanilla again, and log in to MP first try. I don't know why it works, but for some reason it does.
